Recognizing this challenge, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched the SWANATH Scholarship Scheme, aimed at providing financial assistance to deserving students.

AICTE-SWANATH Scholarship Scheme:

The AICTE-SWANATH Scholarship Scheme is an initiative by the AICTE to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who wish to pursue technical education. The primary objective of the scheme is to ensure that no deserving student is deprived of education due to financial limitations.

AICTE has approved ‘AICTE – SWANATH SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME’ for children from any one of the following categories:

1. Orphan

2. Either or both parents died due to Covid-19

3. Wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action (Shaheed)

to provide them financial support of Rs. 50,000/- per annum for every year of study.

DOCUMENTS TO BE UPLOADED ON NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL:

A. For Orphan Candidates:

1.       Death Certificates of both Father & Mother (if available)

OR

A certificate issued by Tehsildar / S D M as per enclosed   format (Annexure – I).

2.       Bonafide Certificate issued by the institution.

3.       10+2 / equivalent and 10th Mark sheet for Degree Level

4.       10th /equivalent Mark sheet for Diploma Level

5.       Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL)

B. For Candidates whose either or both Parents Died due to Covid 19:

1.       Death Certificate of Father/Mother or both explicitly mentioning that the death was due to Covid-19.

2.       If one parent (Father or Mother) is alive, current year income certificate, explicitly mentioning that income of family less than 8 Lakh, issued by Competent Authority.

3.       Bonafide Certificate issued by the institution.

AICTE-PRAGATI Scholarship Scheme

Promoting gender equality and empowering women in every sphere of life is essential for the holistic development of society. Recognizing the need to bridge the gender gap in technical education, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has introduced the PRAGATI Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students pursuing degree and diploma courses.

AICTE-PRAGATI Scholarship Scheme:

The AICTE-PRAGATI Scholarship Scheme aims to empower and encourage girl students to pursue technical education and contribute to the nation’s growth. By providing financial assistance, the scheme addresses the barriers faced by girls in accessing quality education and creates a supportive environment for their academic and professional development.

Scholarship/Contingency is awarded to meritorious girls taking admission in AICTE approved Technical institution at Degree/ Diploma. Total 10000 scholarships are given @ Rs 50000 as incidentals each year.

To apply for the AICTE-PRAGATI Scholarship Scheme, candidates must submit the following documents:

1.       Income Certificate: A valid income certificate issued by a competent authority to verify the family’s income.

2.       Caste Certificate (if applicable): Students belonging to scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), or other reserved categories must provide a caste certificate issued by the competent authority.

3.       Educational Certificates: Copies of the mark sheets and certificates of the qualifying examinations, such as Class 10 and Class 12.

4.       Admission Proof: Documentary evidence of admission to a degree or diploma course in an AICTE-approved technical institution, such as an admission letter or fee receipt.

5.       Bank Account Details: Students are required to provide their bank account details, including the account number and IFSC code, for scholarship disbursement.

The AICTE-SAKSHAM Scholarship Scheme aims to empower and support specially abled students in their pursuit of degree and diploma courses in technical fields. By providing financial assistance, the scheme endeavors to ensure that no talented individual is hindered from achieving their educational aspirations due to disabilities.

Scholarship/Contingency is awarded to Differently abled students taking admission in AICTE approved Technical institution at Degree/ Diploma. Scholarship given @ Rs 50000 as incidentals each year.

AICTE Doctoral Fellowship (ADF):

The AICTE Doctoral Fellowship (ADF) is a prestigious program that aims to encourage and support aspiring researchers in pursuing their doctoral studies in technical disciplines. The fellowship provides financial assistance and other benefits to eligible candidates, fostering a conducive environment for high-quality research and innovation.

Admitting full time meritorious research scholars by providing research fellowship who wants to seek admission to Ph.D. in AICTE approved Technical Institutes/University Departments for carrying out research in thrust areas

To apply for the AICTE Doctoral Fellowship (ADF) 2022-23, candidates must submit the following documents:

1.       Application Form: Candidates need to complete the prescribed application form available on the official AICTE website or the designated portal for the fellowship program.

2.       Research Proposal: A comprehensive research proposal outlining the research objectives, methodology, and expected outcomes of the doctoral research.

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship (SVMCM)

Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (V4.0), Government of West Bengal, to provide for the meritorious and economically backward students of West Bengal studying at the Higher Secondary level, Undergraduate (UG) Level, and Post Graduate (PG) Level and above.

The scheme benefits students studying in regular mode of Class XI and XII, and at under Graduate level in Science/Arts/Commerce, Engineering, Medical and Technical / Professional courses. Post Graduate level students pursuing Science/Arts/Commerce & Technical/Management. These scholarships will be sanctioned to deserving students on merit-cum-means criteria. [HS, UG Honors, PG, Medical, Engineering, Nursing, Paramedical, Diploma, PG.

Backward Classes Welfare Department and Tribal Development Department, Government of West Bengal, to provide academic scholarship for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Online Application for Pre-Matric Scholarship – (Class 9th and 10th) and Post-Matric Scholarship- (UG, PG and Diploma).

Oasis scholarship financially supports the students in their senior secondary education and higher studies in the field of Medicine, Engineering, Nursing, Bed., and Med., Pharmacy, Diploma, PTTI, BVSc, and LLB courses.

Aikyashree Scholarship

The undersigned is directed by the order of the Governor to say that the Governor is pleased to start “Aikyashree- West Bengal State Scholarship Scheme for Minority Students” from the financial year 2019-20 onwards, to be funded entirely from the State Budget.

The national level scholarships include the scholarships offered by departments like the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Education (formerly known as MHRD), Ministry of Labour and Employment, and others.

Open for minority community students who are pursuing technical or professional courses at UG/PG level

They must have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in previous qualifying examination
